African Eloquence
Information on the African Eloquence Youth Celebration (see attached
photos):

African Eloquence seeks to educate the public on the various cultures of Africa in a social, academic and fun manner. The main goal of this program is to promote the awareness of Africa as a continent of rich and diverse cultures. African Eloquence is a competition (among African youth) of presentations on Africa, an exhibition of African talents, costumes, dancing, drumming, poem recitals, etc. Not only will this program educate the public on African cultures, but it will also promote/showcase the talents of African youth in Victoria, and help them build self-esteem and confidence. There are not many opportunities for our youth to take advantage of, and so we want to create more opportunities for them to showcase their talents, knowledge and receive some great prizes.****

Our principles are to: · Lead awareness**** · Encourage diverse cultures**** · Educate the public**** · Generate self esteem and confidence in our youth **** · Create opportunities for our youth to take advantage of****

The four main areas help is needed are: fundraising, planning logistics, youth coaching and advertising. To get involve as a volunteer or a participant, please contact Kade Hardy-Agueh at 250.370.0827 or by email at kadehardy@shaw.ca.
